The 16G are currently being used for personal and cultural change in hospitals, schools, social service agencies, drug rehab, hospices, universities, youth-at-risk programs, youth leadership programs, businesses and prisons as well as in families, communities and neighborhoods. The 16G are also the basis of the ethics course currently being taught as a core requirement for the Applied Mindfulness Meditation (AMM) program at the University of Toronto.
Facilitator: Craig Mackie has a MA in philosophy and a MSW. Currently in clinical practice with the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic, he also teaches at the University of Toronto, Applied Mindfulness Meditation Program and is an international trainer in the 16 Guidelines. He has used the 16 G as a model for group therapy with addictions, character development for school programs, professional development in the not-for-profit sector, and most recently as a tool for therapeutic intervention integrated with other mindfulness based interventions.
