16 Guidelines: Developing Wisdom and Compassion: Mindfulness Ottawa Spring Urban Retreat April 7-9th
In this retreat we will look at how to develop a wise mind and a kind heart. By using the 16 Guidelines as a mindful practice we can transform our lives and the world around us.
The 16 Guidelines are being used as the foundation of ethics within mindfulness, currently being taught at the University of Toronto as the system to explore how to encounter and embody the values of mindfulness.

Facilitators:
Craig Mackie has a MA in philosophy and a MSW. Currently in clinical practice specializing in Mindfulness, he also teaches at the University of Toronto, Applied Mindfulness Meditation Program and is an international trainer in the 16 Guidelines. Craig has used the 16G to teach youth at-risk, adults in therapeutic settings, in the not-for-profit sector, as a character education curriculum and as the basis of the ethics course at the U of T Applied Mindfulness certificate program. Shelley Urlando is the International Co-Trainer of Transformative Mindfulness Methods, supporting facilitators in 13 countries. She is the Program Coordinator for Universal Education Programs and faculty at The Centre for Compassion & Wisdom, Burlington. She co-founded Mindfulness Halton/Peel Professional Community, and is a certified practitioner of 16 Guidelines For Life and Mindfulness Without Borders.
Participants will receive a Level 1 Certificate from the Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom, on the training path towards 16 Guidelines Facilitator Training.
16 Guidelines Level 1: Tools for personal and cultural change
